Membership

There are eight classes of membership to the Wisconsin Poultry & Egg Industries Association:

1. Individual Producer Member: An Individual Producer Member is an individual (or family) actively engaged in the production of poultry meat, market eggs, hatching eggs, newly hatched poultry, started poultry, game birds, waterfowl or other classes of poultry, or the production of products from such poultry. Contract growers are eligible for this category. Individual Producer Members are voting members of the corporation.
2. Integrator Producer Member: An Integrator Producer Member is a company that is actively engaged in some phase(s) of poultry production as described for Individual Production members above. Integrator Producer Members have full membership and voting privileges in the corporation, and designate a representative to the corporation.
3. Individual Integrator Producer Member: An Individual Integrator Producer Member is an employee of an integrator producer company who desires a personal membership. Individual Integrator Producer Members are entitled to all member privileges and are voting members of the corporation.
4. Allied Members: Allied membership is open to companies actively engaged in business that supports the poultry production industries. Allied Members have full membership and voting privileges in the corporation, and designate a representative to the corporation.
5. Allied Individual Member: An employee of an allied company who desires a personal membership. Individual Allied Members are entitled to all member privileges and are voting members of the corporation.
6. Associate Member: An individual who is actively engaged in government or education, or a retired person with some commercial poultry industry-related background, who is interested in the welfare of the industry and the activities of the corporation. Associate members are entitled to all privileges and are voting members of the corporation.
7. Honorary Member: The Board of Directors has the option to designate Honorary Membership for individuals who have given outstanding personal service and support to the corporation and to the poultry industries represented. Honorary Members are entitled to all privileges and are voting members of the corporation.
8. Student Member: A post-high school student with an interest in the commercial poultry industries, and/or who is enrolled in a program of studies that would prepare the student for a position in a segment of the poultry industry. Student memberships are complimentary, but student members do not have voting rights in the corporation.
